Jesse R. & Alfred M. Beaver are my grgrgrandfather & son,grgrandfather.They both serve in the Fannin Co..Company E 2nd Regiment Vol.Inf..Have found that Alfred M. was abs. without leave and later took the alig.to the U.S..
Both are shown in the 1860 Fannin Co. Census with their families.The 1870 Fannin Co. census shows their families but they are missing.Have every indication they they both got throught the war because of additional children shown in the families.Jesse R. Was born in N.C. in 1819 & Married Mary Kirby,br 1820..Alfred M.,br.1836 in Ga., married Hannan Adeline Crawford,br. 1835..
Have search the cemetery records at the Fannin Co. library and can't find were they or their wifes are buried.Is there a Millitary Cemetery in the Area were they could be buried?
