G. Murphree Blount Co., GA 1864?

Green Powell Murphree (b abt 1847 AL) and his brother George Murphree joined the CSA between 1862 & 1864 from Blount Co., AL., probably both serving in the same unit. I am seeking Green's war records to apply for a tombstone at his burial site in Arkansas.

Does anyone have an index of AL CSA soldiers that they would search for a mention of Green Powell Murphree or his brother George? They lived in Sand Valley, AL prior to the war and settled there again after the war. Green moved to Arkansas in 1892. Green was married to the former Katherine Rutherford.

Thanks,
Teresa
