If any of you have copies or orginals of your Civil War ancestor's record which mentions a Confederate Hospital in Madison, GA, I would sure like a copy of it.

I am searching for all extant records of those hospitals and compiling them into a book which I hope to publish this winter. I have, so far, over 240 pages of transcribed records which include hospital ledgers, medical certificates and letters. Im now sorting all the patients into their companies/regiments and state/towns, and will have personal name and subject/place indexes.

All copies that I can use will have its owner's name in the Acknowledgement page.

And if you know of any place I can find more Madison GA Confederate hospital records besides the U. of Texas, Emory University, the Museum of the COnfederacy, the U. of NC at Chapel Hill, the Georgia Archives or the UGA Hargrett Library, Id sure like to know!
