Re: Floyd House and Ocmulgee hospitals

Dear Mr. Carey:

A very reliable source of information is the Historical and Genealogical Room at the Washington Memorial Library in Macon, Georgia. They are easily located on the internet and charge a minimal fee for research--often about $8.00 per research request. This can be done via the internet as they have formatted requests.

Another good source of information is the Confederate Widow's Pension Claim. I obtained a very legible photocopy of the initial claim year and the subsequent claim years through the Washington Memorial Library. These claims are also a great source of genealogical information. Money for Confederate Widow's Pension Claims became available in the year 1891.

The Georgia Dept. of Archives and History, which is accessible through the internet, is also a good source of genelogical information.

Faithfully,

Terri Anne Hastings
