Wow! Thank you so much. I'm finding this all very interesting. I will try to order that information from the compiled military service records... William was my Grandfather's Mother's Brother. I wish that our family had kept better records, unfortunately I have had to start from scratch. Having grown up in Massachusetts with relatives in the South and Southwest I have always had an interest in the Civil War. My Dad and I collected books on the war together before he passed away and we always discussed the various aspects of it together.

Anyways, thank you both for the quick response, I intend to keep digging into this!
