I am researching two soldiers of the 46th Georgia from Muscogee County. D. Walston, enlisted March 4, 1862, discharged April 26, 1865. J.M. Walston, enlisted the same date and died on Nov 22, 1862.
I believe J.M is James Monroe Walston, born 28 Dec 1827, son of Henry Walston of Harris Co., GA.
My question concerns "D" Walston. Does anyone know the first name of this man? How I might find it?
I suspect he was the brother of James but the D is an initial I have not previously found.
Any suggestions appreciated.
