Looks as if all these men left home to join Co. "C" of the 20^th Georgia Partisan Ranger Battalion when it organized in May 1862. The battalion was dissolved in the summer of 1864, three of its companies joining seven from the 62nd Georgia Mounted to form the 8th Georgia Cavalry Regiment.
