I am searching for records on James B. Cross. I think he was my great-great Grandfather. I have records that he enlisted in Miller County,GA 03 May 1862. According to the records I have he received Distinguished Service, but was also listed as a deserter 02 November 1862 at Lenoir Station, TN. I also have conflicting stories as to how he died. I am at a somewhat dead end on my Genealogy research. Can you give me some advice? Thank you in advance.
