I have obtained the service record of my great great grandfather. It states that he was wounded on Nov. 24, 1863 at Kingston, TN. He was sent to the Kent Hospital. Does anyone have information as to where this was? Also, he is listed on the Rolls of Rebel Deserters and released on Oath of Amnesty at Chattanooga, TN. Is it possible that he was captured and signed the Oath? Not that it really matters, but I would be unable to join the SCV if he deserted.
