I have just published "Hell's Broke Loose In Georgia" (University of Georgia Press, 2005) which is a 311 page history of the 57th Georgia Regiment, as well as Mercer's Brigade, a brigade that the 57th Georgia Regiment was in during the Atlanta Campaign, Tennesee Campaign, and the Carolina Campaign. I cover the incident of alleged mutiny in Savannah and the short assignment to Andersonville on pages 103-112. Footnotes and sources are extensive. I hope this research will prove helpful to you.
