Hello,

Richard Sommers' excellent book "Richmond Redeemed" has an account of the 20th Georgia losing a flag at Chaffin's Farm on Sept. 29th, 1864. There is a letter from a New York officer that identifies this flag capture. The 158th New York captured the flag and the soldier won the Medal of Honor for it.

I am seeking other evidence for this ID as there is nothing in the ORs (even the citation for the MOH does not mention the regiment). I would appreciate any help along these lines.
