The first regimental flag of the 11th Georgia, formerly the flag of Co. H, the Walton Infantry, rests in the collections of the Georgia Capitol Museum in Atlanta. The flag was originally issued to the Walton Infantry and then voted to be regimental banner.

It is depicted in their newly revised flags book now avaibale for $20 plus shipping. Please contact the Office of the Secretary of State in Atlanta and they can help you get the book.

The money goes to their flag conservation fund.

And yes, in 1861 pretty much all compnaies of a regiment also had flags.
