I checked the Florida Indigent Pension Index and did not find a Miles Allen or Widow of mentioned.

The Widow would have filed in the state she resided in the late 1800's so if that was other than Florida you will need to check that state.

As far as burial location, it is likely he died of disease given the date he died and what was going on in the region at the time. I do not believe it is likely he was immediately transported home. It is possible the family may have retrieved his remains post-war but unlikely due to cost, transportation, etc. His remains could have been temporarily interned anywhere between Chattanooga and Atlanta. Lee White, a regular poster on this message board, may be able to assist with that question.
