My girl friend is a relative of Henning Murden and has been to the Museum that contains one of the Murden rifles, in fact she and her father were there together to see it. I have been looking for one for for several years now to no avail, I may have to build one for her.
The story goes that most of the Murden rifles that saw service in the "War of the Rebellion" were dumped down a well at Appomattox Court House to prevent them from being turned over to the Union at the end of the war.
