I am trying to locate a unit roster of the 19th GA. Vol.Inf.My ggrandfarthers head stone shows he was a member of this unit. The headstone shows a rank of 4 Sgt. I am confused about this rank. I have never heard of that rank before and I would like some clearification about it. His name is Isthmel Woodson Reeves. He was from Pauldin Ga.if my information is correct. He is buried at Mount Mariah cemetary on sand mountain in DeKalb Co. Alabama. Any help or information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Larry Meadows.
