Alan, I find it disappointing and strange that Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System shows no record of James Stone, when the Roster of Confederate Veterans, 1861-1865 shows that name served in Co C, 25th GA, in Co C, 42nd GA, Co B, 38th GA, and Co A, 38th GA--all companies recruited from Forsyth-Milton and DeKalb Cos, GA. This happens to be the exact counties in which our James Stone lived, and his parents and brothers lived from 1830-1860. In 1820 his grandfather also named James Stone lived in Gwinnett Co. Bob
