Re: Co. G, 26th Georgia Regiment

By any chance, do you have any information on soldiers in Company "G" of the 26th GA? My ggg-grandfather, Washington Petty fought with them, along with my uncles (Noah, Mathew, Mark, James, Jessee and John Robinson). Uncle John took the "oath", I'm told, and switched sides. I don't have proof of this and if it's NOT true, I'd like to clear his name... but I'm looking for info on another ggg-grandfather, George Cooner who was also a member of the 26th GA, but I'm not sure if he was in Company "G" or another. He also lived in Camden County, but may have enlisted somewhere else. You sheem to have extensive knowledge and if it's not too much trouble, it would mean alot to our family if you wouldn't mind sharing what you know...if anything. Thanks in advance!
