My wife and I have a book that is being released in March, 2007 entitled, "The Fourth Louisiana Battalion in the Civil War: A History and Roster" by McFarland & Company Publishers. Though the Fourth Regiment and the Fourth Battalion were separate units, we have what I consider to be an excellent recounting of the Battle of Ezra Church. Though the release date is next year, keep us in mind should you still be looking for information on the battle early next year. In the meantime, you may want to read Albert Castel's, "Decision In The West: The Atlanta Campaign," by the University of Kansas Press, which is, what I consider to be, the most detailed account of the Army of Tennessee's 1864 battles.
