Thank you so much for the photo - reading my great grandfatehr's letters and the posts earlier prompted me to 'read up' on my Civil War history. Many brave men fought on both sides - I discovered from reading his letters that many former enemies later became friends. One such friend was D.A. O'Mann of the 59th New York Veteran Volunteer Infantry.
