James A. Laborius

Dear Sir: I have recently learned that my great, great uncle, James A. Laborius, a Confederate soldier who enlisted in 1862 in Montgomery AL, was sent to Griffin, GA because he was sick from Sept 1, 1863 until Nov. 30, 1863.

I'm curious to know if there was a military hospital in Griffin during that time, and if so, were there any records kept regarding the soldiers. James was killed in trenches, Petersburg, on July 21, 1864. I'm unable to find his burial site.

I appreciate any help or suggestions.
