Robert: Just a little info to fill out your family history. My Great uncle, Francis Boring, Co. A, 18th Ga. was wounded May 8 or 9 at Spotsylvania. He took a minie ball through his shoulder, which broke his shoulder blade and came out near the spine. He was at home on recuperative leave and was captured July 9, 1864, at Roswell, Ga. he was sent to Camp Douglas in Chicago, and was paroled June 26, 1865. His pension record says the exposure that winter gave him rhumatism, which in his later life made him an invalid. He was house bound the last 12 years of his life, and died in December, 1899. Stan
