Re: JAMES NICHOLS
In Response To: JAMES NICHOLS ()

Ron --

James, John A. and Thomas Nichols of Rabun County all have military service files with Company "F" of the 52nd Georgia Regiment. The company organized in Rabun County as the "Beauregard Braves". Officers an men served in the mountains of East Tennessee and Kentucky, the Vicksburg Campaign, later being assigned to the ill-fated Army of Tennessee.

Glad to help, but please be considerate of other readers and turn CAPSLOCK off!

Evidently James Nichols survived the war and his widow applied for a pension. You can order copies of any of these files through the message board link found here.
