Mr. Armitage,

Although I am not related to the Spivey's, I am doing research for a book on the 50th Ga Inf Regt, which includes Company C, the Coffee County Guards. I have a Matthew Spivey, enlisted on March 4, 1862, captured at the Battle of Saylor's Creek on April 6, 1865, and paroled from Point Lookout, Maryland on June 19, 1865.

I am looking for Civil War period photos of 50th Ga soldiers and would be happy to consider placing the photo and other applicable military information you may have on Matthew Spivey in my book if you want to provide me with a copy.
