I stand corrected! The information came from a source several years ago that I thought to be reliable. I should have researched it for accuracy before posting. Thank's for the correction.

I guess I missed making my point that Olmstead's command at Morris Island was made up of regiments from far and near. Is that correct?...and... I'm interested to know what the possibility of a soldier from as far north as Dade County GA, transferring or being reassigned to the 1st GA Infantry (Olmstead's).
I'm searching for the location that J H Cassidy was recruited.... (The J H Cassidy that is listed as killed August 12, 1863, 1st GA Infantry (Olmstead's)
