I have a book titled The Old Guard in Gray written by J. Harvey Mathes in 1897. This book lists many of the Confederate veterans living in the Memphis area during publication. People listed in this book have a brief record of their time during the war and in some instances may mention other family members. These entries may only be a couple of sentences but could be as much as two pages of information. The book has quite a few portraits as well. This book is a reprint, so some of the photos are not of high quality. I'll be glad to look up someone for you and if they are listed, I'll give you the information shown in the book.
