My G-Grandfather, Leroy Miller, enlisted on the same day, Feb. 28th. 1862 Hall Co. Ga. in the same unit as your G-G-Grandfather. " I " Company, 24th. Georgia Regiment, The Glade Guards Volunteer Rifles... They servrd together for Southern Independence. They were enlisted at Captain A.J. Poole`s house in Hall Co. Ga.. Capt. Poole was there Capt.
My G.- Grandfather got sick in Richmond, Va. of Smallpox . There are records of Capt. Poole giving militery pay to him before he died... I`am like you, I`am also looking for any connection to my G.- Grandfather... If you have info please contact me...
Also one of Leroys dauthers, Mary P. Miller, married a Asbury C. Dodd... Maby he is a family member of yours..? I am a member of S.C.V. Camp 158, Porter Alexander In Augusta. Ga.... Hope to here from you soon...Philip Miller
