6th Georgia Cavalry

I am interested in the 6th Georgia Cavalry. My great grandfather served in Company G as a secret scout. He initially enlisted in the 21st Regiment and was among the Sardis Volunteers. He served until the end of the war although he was twice captured. After the War he wrote several articles for the "Confederate Veteran" regarding the 6th Ga. Cavalry. I have copies of a number of pieces of correspondence either from other members of the Regiment or mentioning members of the Regiment, including several in Co. H. Some were written in support of his widow's pension application. His younger brother Lee Green also served in the Regiment, Co. G at the very end of the War. There is no service record for Lee Green, but his widow was able to obtain a pension based on affidavits from other members of the company.
