I checked his name in the GA Confederate pensions book. No mention. If he was buried in a city cemetery, perhaps the sexton recorded the date of his burial. If buried in a church cemetery, perhaps the church has records of his funeral or burial. I'd start tracking down fellow descendants of this man. Perhaps a distant cousin has the family Bible or similar records.
