I read some old posts on the 48th GA. flag that was captured by James B. Wiley on the 2nd day of Gettsyburg. One poster, C. Warren, said his gggrandfather was Elias J. Denson, the flag bearer on
that day. Would like to connect with C. Warren if he is still posting. I am related to James B. Wiley. Has anyone read "Hallowed Banners" that is a book about the collection of flags that the Georgia State Capitol has? You can see some of these flags online but am not sure if the one I saw
on the 48th Georgia was actually the "captured" flag. Would like to know if the book outlines each
flag and tells any history of the capture of it, etc.
