Re: Georgia Troops in West Virginia

Thanks,

My the names of the one relatives that I have right now who are supposed to be buried there are Thomas J. Adams, who died there October 20, 1861, and If my memory is correct, he was a member of the 10th Georgia Infantry Battalion, and James Garrett who died there on December 13, 1861. I am not sure what unit he was a member of. I don't have my notes handy this minute. I was just trying to find out because I wanted to visit that place to see where the soldiers were buried. I believe that they both died of disease rather than in battle. I have been able to visit another relatives' grave, Thomas J. Garrett at Finn's Point Cemetery in NJ, who died at Fort Delaware as POW in 1864.
