If any records exits for a particular hospital showing that a soldier was admitted to it during the war, there is usually a document in his compiled service record indicating what was in the hospital records. I've never seen any copies of actual hospital records, but I have seen numerous compiled service records with documents showing where soldiers were admitted to hospitals and later discharged.
