Mr. Gale, thank you very much, some good biographical nuggets there. I was curious about his brother John A Jones the Regimental Adjutant too, who in the rosters is listed as WIA 7/2/63 at Gettysburg, yet in Hillyers account he has William A Tennille of Co. D as the Adjutant of the 9th that day? Regardless, just another one of those mysteries that make the onion worth peeling a bit more. :-)
