I printed off the 72 page Data Base of the Confederate Dead interred in Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Va. Out of over 7,000 names I found 5 Calhoun's (4 from Georgia and 1 from Alabama) that are possibly related to me. This is the
list: B. Calhoun, Co.B, 23 Reg, Ga., July 8,1864, Sec.U; John Calhoun, Co.G, 17 Reg, Ga., Oct 9, 1864, Sec V; J.W. Calhoun, Co.E, 28 Reg, Ga, Sept 3, 1864, Sec V; P.N.Calhoun, no company or regiment listed, Ga, August 9, 1862, Sec Q; T.W. Calhoun, no company listed, 13 Reg., Alabama, Sept 3, 1861, Sec K. My question is, what is my first step in finding out exactly who these men were and where they came from?
