Units at Adams Run, SC

I -- and my fellow SCV Camp members -- are in the business of documenting the affairs at and around Adam's Run, SC during the War Between the States, for the purposes of establishing a long overdue historical marker there.

In researching this area, I have come to find that it was a major strategic position that was Headquarters for at least three generals and was a central military hub. Many men died -- enlisted and officer, alike -- and several were taken POW there. I have also noticed that there were more than just SC troops there. Being fully aware and in hot pursuit of the Wartime buried soldiers' graves in the area, I was hoping to venture further than Kirkland's Broken Fortunes can take me and make attempt to identify men from other states that died in this area during the war.

If you have any knowledge of a unit or units that were at Adams Run, SC (or Wiltown, Rantowles, ect) I would be much appreciative of that info, especially, if you know of specific soldiers that died there. Also, I am seeking any clues beyond that found in the O.R. of events and locations of the area, especially anything that can help us confirm the burial locations.

Thank you,
