Col. Boyd 19th Ga Vols.

I located a digitalized book on Google Book Search "A Standard History of Georgia and Georgians" that contained info. that stated my 3rd Great-Uncle James McGee (19th Ga.) rescued the 19th Georgia's Colonel W.W. Boyd (William Wade), who was wounded in one engagement in the Shenandoah Valley and brought home to Marietta. I was wondering if someone might be able to find out what battle the colonel was wounded in. Col. Boyd's record show's he resigned Jan. 12, 1863 due to rheumatism. James McGee's brother; Sergeant John McGee's record includes a "Regimental return" for Jan and Feb. 1862(or 63) "Detailed to attend Col. W.W. Boyd to Georgia".

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
