Ken, go to the NPS Sailors and Soldiers website and type in last name, first name and "confederate" and the list of 7 soldiers with name of George Kimbrough will pop up. click on the name and the rank and unit comes up. Use some of this info w/ a grain of salt as it comes from Compiled Service Records which are notoriously incomplete and sometimes incorrect, eespecially for Confederates. Here is the link
