Mr. Wilson,

I did not find a Charles, Charlie, Henry, or Hank Holmes or Homes in the 1860 Federal 1860 Census for Hart County, Georgia. In addition, none of the Holmes or Homes families were labeled as "colored," which those of Native American decent would have been labeled as if they were still in the region after the removal in 1838-1839.
