Thanks, Ed. Please send it to 19th.Georgia@comcast.net. Despite what his stone may say, I can't find any records supporting W. B. Bateman's being a 2nd Lt. His CSR shows he was a Cpl in 1862, Sgt in 1863, and by the latest record a private when he died of meningitis in Savannah in on 2/23/1864.
