Ft. Tyler Cemetery

I visited Ft. Tyler Cemetery, in West Point, today. I found 15 Confederate graves that were marked, and one in particular was very interesting. J. O. Roberts, Ga. Inf., Capt. Matthews Company, East to West Point Guards. He died at the battle of Ft. Tyler on April 16, 1865. Does anyone have any information on " Matthews Company" or especially the "East to West Point Guards"??? I have been unable to find anything on this man or the company he served in. I understand that most of the men that defended
Ft. Tyler were home guards, and men that had been wounded elsewhere and was recovering in local hospitals, and several young men that were not even in the service. But what caught my eye was the name, East to West Point Guards. It is quite a distance from East Point to West Point. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
