Holt,

Your Elijah Lindsey appears to have served in a Georgia command during one the 1830s
military actions against the Creeks, Seminoles or Cherokees. The service record of this
soldier should be on microfilm at the state archives in Morrow, GA. Considering how long
he lived, Elijah may have applied for and received a Federal pension from the U.S. government.
You might want to contact the National Archives in Washington, DC & inquire of a pension
application, which should provide some detailed information.
