Re: 16th Infantry - "Danielsville Guard"

Yes, you are correct. Next time we visit Shiloh, I would love to be able to see the store site and the homeplace location. John Franklin Fitts (only son of Wm Walker and my husband's great grandfather) was deaf. The home where he raised his children was right there in Shiloh as well. Wm Walker's grandson, Wm Lafayette Fitts (my husband's grandfather) had a 100 acre farm that was inherited from his wife's parents also located right there in Shiloh. Wm Lafayette and his wife Ethel Moore had 12 children, including my husband's father. Many of them still live right there on the property. The old house is still standing (barely) but no one lives in it any more. We live in Alabama, but we go back to Shiloh at least once a year on Labor Day for a family reunion. Where do you live?
