Ms. McCrary,

The 36th Georgia was a sister regiment to the 39th Georgia. If you go to the link below and look at the "Battles Engaged" you will see the list of battles (with probably the exception of the battle at Bridgeport) that the 36th Georgia participated in.

Bridges has an extensive Compiled Service Records with 197 cards or documents. You can obtain the record through the service on this message board. My question is whether he was ever found and executed by the Federals. I assume he was court-martialed as a result of killing one of the Federals that captured him. Given the date, his residency (Tunnell Hill) and Dalton, I believe he was home on furlough when he was captured. He would not be the only one of the local residence to be captured around this time.
