Hi Steve,

I'm working on the family history of the soldiers in the Twiggs County Units, Co C of the 4th, Co I of the 6th, Co E of the 26th, and Co G of the 48th Georgia volunteer Infantries. My gg-grandfather is Private John Barrett Everett of the 6th Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Co I, of Marion, Twiggs, Georgia.

I have two Vann's:

Edward Vann
Residence Twiggs County GA; Enlisted on 12/25/1861 as a Private. 26th Ga Inf Rgmt, Co E. On 6/18/1863 he mustered into "B" Co. VA 2nd Battn. He was discharged on 4/22/1864. He was transferred out on 7/28/1864 (Transferred to Gen. Winder.)

Reuben Vann
private July 9, 1861. 4th Ga Inf Rgmt, Co C. No later record.

I'd like to hear from you, with a view toward working on the family histories of these men. Please write me at Jack_Poynter@att.net.

Deo Vindice!
JP
