Corput's Cherokee and Rowan's Georgia Batteries

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am looking for information on the batteries listed below for the time period from about July 23 until August 28, 1864. They participated in the portion of the Atlanta siege line located near the Western & Atlantic Railroad eastward to the Peachtree Road. The fight in the siege lines is overlooked by past historians of the Atlanta Campaign and I am trying to tell the story of Stevenson's Division execution of this critical mission.

Corput's Cherokee and Rowan's Georgia Batteries and they were located in the Peachtree Fort.

I am looking for accounts of combat, unpublished reports, letters, journals, diaries, and newspaper articles.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Respectfully,
