Record of Events
Early in May the company marched to Orange Court House, Virginia where it was kept on Provost Guard duty until the interruptions on the Va., C. R. R. when it was ordered to Beaver Dam Station & went thence to Guinea's [?] Station on R. F. & P. R. R. From this place it marched to Stanards Mill on the Po River where it was kept in hastily made trenches for several days assisting the Cavalry in keeping back the enemy while the main army was moving from Spotsylvania Court House to the Chickahominey. The company was engaged in various places repairing roads, bridges & constructing fortifications.
