Residence Forsyth County GA;
Enlisted on 7/4/1861 as a Jr 2nd Lieut.
On 7/4/1861 he was commissioned into "E" Co. GA 14th Infantry
He Resigned on 10/8/1861

Brevet 2nd Lieutenant Robert Alexander Seale is listed in the Compiled Service Records as Robert Alexander Seol, Company E, Lester Volunteers, "Resigned Oct. 8 excepted 1861" His file contains correspondence between the Adjutant General's office, War Department and the Georgia Board of Pension Commissioners dated January 14, 1918

There is no Record of Events for Company E on their initial muster, however, this is what was recorded for Companies D & H.

Company D

Sept. & Oct., 1861, Stationed at Camp near Huntersville

Left Marlions Bottom where last mustered on the 1st Sept. 1861 and marched to Edroy the same day. Led Edroy the 8th Sept., 1861, and marched to Coonrods vis Big Springs and Valley Mountain - arrived at Coonrods 11th Sept. 1861. Commenced the retreat from Coonrods the evening of the 15 Sept. 1861, and camped at Big Springs by order of Col. Gilham on the 28th Sept. 1861, and arrived at Elk Mt. 30 Sept 1861 blockading the roads that lead from Big Springs to Marlins Bottom - arrived at Marlins Bottom 14th Oct. 1861. Commenced the march to Huntersville 28th Oct. 1861, and arrived the same day at our present locality.

Company H

Sept. & Oct., 1861, Stationed at Camp near Huntersville

Ordered by the Gov of Georgia on 9th July to rendezvous at Atlanta Ga on the 15 July 19, 1861 Elected Field Officers of Regt on 16 July left Atlanta Ga for Lynchburg Va on 17th July Mustered into the service of the Confederate States by Maj. H. L. Clay on 23rd July at Lynchburg Va - Left Lynchburg Va 29th July for Stanton Va and marched to Monterey distance 46 miles reached there 2nd August Continued the march on 3rd August by order of Gen H. R. Jackson from Monterey to Huntersville reached Huntersville 5 August distance 37 miles Left Huntersville 17 August for Morlum[?] bottom arrived same day distance six miles Left Morlum bottom on 14th Sept 1861 for Big Springs Va distance 15 miles was ordered back to Edray Va on 14[?] Sept by Cap. John M Ethered who was in command of the Regt was ordered from Edray Va to Elk Mountain distance 4 miles On 1st Oct was ordered back to Edray by Col. Wm Gilham and arrived same day Thence to Green Briar Bridge on 15th Oct. distance 4 miles. Thence to Huntersville distance 6 miles on 28th October 1861 arrived same day
