The Georgia in the Civil War Message Board

Re: 1st Georgia Reserves (Symons)

I am researching my great great father, B.C. Hutchinson who along with his older brother joined 1st Reserves in April 26, 1864.
I can trace them through June 30, 1864. The above older brother died in a local Hospital in Savannah and is buried in Savannah.
This unit's Company muster roll for from June 30, 1865 until Aug 20 is missing. The two companies I am interested in are H and F.
The muster roll for Sept & Oct 1864 is the end of my contact with the unit.

Company K is also a possibility. Family lore has my GGreat grandfather surrendering in Greensboro, N.C. I am still searching and will gladly share information with interested parties. Thank you
