This company was commissioned Chestatee Artillery 30 Sep 1861, by order of War Dept. and was ordered by Wright's Legion to report to Camp Kirkpatrick, Dawson County, Georgia. It was mustered into Confederate State service as a Light Artillery Company 09 Oct 1861.It was originally designated Co. H, and was also known as New Co. N.
