Gen Nelson was born 3-11-1822 De Kalb, Georgia and died near Austin, Arkansas 10-7-1862. I need any info of his early life in Ga, schooling etc. I need to know when his mother died (Sophia White Roberts (Nelson). His father John B. Nelson died in 1825 and one source says his mother died in 1825 also, I'm not sure this is right, but if it is who raised the three year old Allison Nelson? Thanks for any help! R.D.Keever
