Skirmish at Rough and Ready

Does anyone know the details of the skirmish at Rough and Ready that took place on August 31, 1864? Specifically, what was the name of the Confederate cavalry unit engaged and what was its total strength and losses? I believe General Jacob Cox had the lead Union division in Schofield's corps and Stanley's corps was not far behind. I am guessing that might be around 20,00 men. Is that correct? I have read Jacob Cox's 1882 book entitled "Atlanta", but have been unable to find much information on the Confederates. Thanks.
